Cut pumpkin into a cube of 4~5cm and put it into a ' Le Creuset' pot with 400ml of water. Place the 'otoshi buta' (a cover made by cooking sheet) on it , then bring to boil and simmer under medium heat until it gets soft . Then, add a table spoon sugar and place the cover on it again and wait for 3~4min. After that, add 2 table spoons of sake, a table spoon of 'mirin'(sweet sake) and 5 tablespoons of 'mentsuyu' (flavored soy sauce). Then, simmer until the liquid get thick. Finally, just serve it on your favorite plate.
Put 2 cups of rice in a bowl and wash it under running water, til it becomes transparent. Then put rice and 2cups of water in the pan and leave it that way for about 20 to 30min. Next, cook it under medium heat and when it boils, lower the heat and simmer for 10min. Better to set the timer for accuracy. After 10min. stop the heat and let it steam for another 10 to 15 min.
